[ music | fbtmof - the story of the curious oysters ]

'91 Chevy Corsica for about $1,500.
It's going in the shop though because it needs a new muffler, the radio needs to be fixed, and it was stalling when we got close to home because when cars sit around for a long time in lots, the fuel filter needs time to work its shit out. I had to drive the Jeep behind it and push it along the road till my dad and I pulled over in the little road by Winn-Dixie. It was scary and it sucked. A tow truck took it to the muffler shop. I got really upset when it stalled and I couldn't get it started at the traffic light, but luckily my dad was with me the whole time. I have a car now, it just needs to get fixed.

It's light blue. Four doors. Manual windows (so they don't break.) AC like a mothatrucka. 131K miles. Clean interior. I like it. Once it's all fixed it'll be awesome. I'm really happy. Too bad it's in the shop now. Oh well. In a day or two, things will be cool.

-Tie In, Tie Up-

The conscience that walks on this sidewalk itches for footsteps resembling the beating of a love that once walked with me. A
lesson learned/refractured. Check the pulse. Following lifelines
that cut up this ground from point A to point B. Beloved demeanor. Untrusted believer. Coating the rhythm of soles and heels. Consider the conscience unconcious. This is the jaw of a street corner unhinging. This is a sudden change. Believe me, in other words, there's always something amiss.

Throw out band name suggestions.
Something weird, simple.
Along the awesomeness as . . . An Albatross.
Something like that.
Think.
I'll think too.
Please.

[greetings from: radford / wish you were here] [27 Jul 2004|05:03pm]
[ mood | okay ]
[ music | nhl video game sounds and radford boyz ]

We loaded up the truck and the jeep on Sunday morning and my dad, my brother, and I left for Radford. Because it was windy and rainy, the tarp tied to the truck required readjusting every ten minutes, it seemed. Finally, my dad tied it right and we were on the road. The drive was about 3 - 3 1/2 hours. We're here to help Tyler move stuff into the house he's living in for school this year. I've met a lot of people. People he's living with and just random Radford kids. We've been sprucing things up around the house and de-fucking it up. We were supposed to come home today but we're staying here one more night. The people here are friendly. It's a nice little mountain town. I've been using my brother's friend's laptop to talk to friends back at home. I've also been cleaning, playing video games, and eating out at restaurants. It's been like a little vacation! My brother wants RIP to come out here some time later in the school year and play a bandfest thing that he wants to arrange. He showed some people videos of us from our site. Unfortunately Purevolume and Hxcmp3.com have been assholes and decided they hate our band. All songs on Purevolume do not work. "Remember To Dismember" on hxcmp3.com only plays 36 seconds of it.

Right now, people are playing an NHL videogame. Later, we're going out to dinner. I miss people back home especially Kerry. Things have not been cool for her. A lot of bullshit with Andy that I hate finding out about. I want everything to work out for her...

Hope life rules
XOXOX

-Ate lunch with Kerry at Chik-fil-a
-Went to Petsmart and saw our bearded dragon friend
-Hung out at Kerry's
-Talked to Kathleen on speaker phone
-Called Mike/my parents talking about rides for the show
-Picked up Dave
-Drove to Mike's
-Came home
-Got the O.K. to drive to Cary Town
-Went to Mike's
-Played with/hated Paul's Pokemon cards
-A lot of nothing
-Left for Carytown
-I hate tolls. A lot. I can't throw quarters.
-Went to Plan 9 for a bit
-Went to Nacho Mama's (but it was full) so went to 711's and got food
-Met up with people in The Caucs
-Told by someone at Chopstix to pay $120 upfront
-Dude named Justin walks by and says he got paid that day, so he pays $120
-Show is saved
-Load stuff into Chopstix
-Lineup: Anything Goes, Romeo In Pieces, Thumbscrew, The Caucs
-Anything Goes did super well. A lot better than they did on Thursday. People were dancing which is always cool to see. People were diggin' them and they played a Gorilla Biscuits cover and everyone just jumped on Jimmy and sang the whole time. Very entertaining.
-We had a blast. Went crazy. Had lots of fun. Played our set. Received very kind words from people in the crowd. We should've had shirts but InkBrigade fucking suck and we were supposed to get shirts Monday. >=( Thanks a lot to everyone who came and watched our set.
-Went to parallel fucking park and backed into Thumbscrew's bumper.
-Hated life
-Loaded stuff/parked elsewhere
-Watched Thumbscrew
-Those guys are fucking nuts. Great band from Texas. Please check them out www.thumbscrew1.com Myke Terry was helping those guys out. I felt obligated to buy a shirt since I kind of hit their fucking van. Thumbscrizzy.
-People left.
-The Caucs were good, but it kind of turns people off when you bash your band between every song. Turned me off at least. Nice guys. Cool guys, but stop hatin'. You did well.
-Left Carytown
-Was a quarter short for tolls, so we got Mike to help out.
-Dave and I came home and crashed
-Slept with a smile on my face
- <3
